There’s only so many ways to say
take care of yourself, but, caregivers, take care of yourself. As a caregiver,
it’s incredibly important for you to devote time to focus on your needs. How
can you do this with all of the commitments you have? Schedule time for
yourself. Commit at least 15 minutes of your day to focusing on your emotional,
physical and mental needs.
Here are some things to do in the
15 minutes:
- Journal
- Try clearing your mind with a meditation
- A quick nap
- Call an old friend
- Have a cup of tea
Remember, you need to honor the commitments you make to yourself. So give yourself at least 15 minutes of relaxation and alone time!
